He began his legal career by undertaking a Mini-Pupillage at 9 Bedford Row Chambers in London, where he gained invaluable practical experience in legal research, drafting legal opinions, preparing case strategies, attending client conferences, and observing proceedings before the County Courts and Crown Courts of England and Wales.

Following his return to Bangladesh, Mr. Omi joined the distinguished Huq & Company, the Chambers of the late Barrister Rafique-ul-Huq, Senior Advocate and one of Bangladesh’s most eminent jurists. As a Junior Associate, he worked on a broad spectrum of complex litigation and advisory matters involving constitutional law, company law, commercial disputes, banking and finance, employment law, contract law, judicial review, and criminal litigation.

Today, as the Head of Chambers at Aman & Partners, Barrister Omi provides strategic leadership to the firm while maintaining an active litigation and advisory practice before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and subordinate courts.
